From the studio

We make scarves the unhurried way — one warp, one print, one rolled edge at a time. Worn at the throat, the shoulder, the wrist. Kept for years.

From thread to form.

The making, in three movements — and why each one takes the time it takes.

The Fibre
01The Fibre

It begins in the Kashmir highlands and the mulberry groves of Como — raw fibre, combed and reeled by hand long before it ever sees a loom.

The Loom
02The Loom

A single stole can hold four days on the loom. We keep the weaving slow on purpose — it is the only way to get a hand this soft and an edge this true.

The Finish
03The Finish

Every square is cut, the edges hand-rolled and whip-stitched, then pressed and numbered. The last hands it passes through are ours.
